Why .dot

A short, sharp namespace for the technical web.

.com is crowded. Vanity TLDs feel toy. .dot is built to be the default home for software, infrastructure, and the people who build them.

Built for builders

A namespace that reads like code. yourname.dot is short, technical, and unmistakably yours.

Fast resolution

Backed by an enterprise-grade DNS infrastructure with global anycast and DNSSEC by default.

Trusted from day one

Trademark protections, sunrise enforcement, and rapid abuse response keep the namespace clean.

Version your identity

Use subdomains for environments, regions, or branches: api.acme.dot, eu.acme.dot, beta.acme.dot.

Universally accepted

Recognized by every major browser, mail client, and certificate authority on day one.

Made for the modern stack

Edge-friendly, CDN-ready, and short enough to look great in your CLI prompts and terminal logs.

Who it's for

For people who ship.

.dot is designed for engineers and the products they build. If your work shows up in a terminal, a repo, or a deploy log — this namespace is for you.

tyler.dot

Indie developers

Ship side projects under a name that says "engineer made this."

pnpm.dot

Open-source maintainers

Give your project a home that matches its repo identity.

linear.dot

Early-stage startups

A short, technical brand for products that ship code.

platform.acme.dot

Enterprise engineering

Carve out a separate namespace for internal tools and APIs.

edge.dot

Infrastructure & DevTools

A naming convention engineers will actually want to type.

studio.dot

Technical brands

Stand out from the .com noise with a name that signals craft.
